This just goes to show how much headroom modern camera's -really- have if they werent limited by crappy JPG processors.

I have post before too about this issue, comparing a sooc jpg at 6400 and RAW processed in photoshop and some denoising filters applied.
The difference is night and day.
I love my M6II, but at the same time I absolutely hate it because the JPG engine only uses half the potential of the sensor.
I get it, a snapshot has to be processed in 10th of a second, but with all the computational photography going on you'd hope that the results could be better, even sooc.

Secondly I hate my M6II because it is basically a dead system and we'll never get a eq 24-70 f2.8 lens.

Right ? Software is just starting to catch up with the hardware.

A lot of cameras do have computers that can tell when eyes are in the shot.

I am thinking Photolab 4 knows when it is working on a face and tries to rebuild features like eyelashes, eyebrows, lips and such when there is missing info due to noise.

I think it could be a few years before we see this kind of tech in our cameras.
