I would not say "hazardous" 

At the site where the images originate the same methodology is used for all lenses - except longer than about 300mm they do not have sufficient working distance to test long focal length lenses indoors.

If camera brand A body and lens achieves a 30% higher score than camera B body and lens comparison with a similar MP body (highly unlikely) some would regard this information as very significant.

If differences are less than about 5% then there is still a 5% difference - though it might be accounted for by differences such as an AA filter or no AA filter.

In lots of ways good photography is much more about how equipment is used rather than anything else.
