How to hold a 3-axle gaimbal to achieve max. horinzontal stabilization>

Referencing the pictures below. A is holding the gimbal vertical, and B is horizontal (extending the camera outwards).

In a 3-axle gimbal, there is no up/down stabilization as the 5-axle one. Would the up down movement of the arms or body cause slight movement cause the image to move up and down the frame? I seem to have that experience.

In picture B, the camera is extended out. Since the up/down movement falls into one of the axle. Would this position give me a more stabilized video?
