Thank you! Do you have any articles or topics I should look into to learn how exactly shooting in RAW will allow me to get better results in difficult light situations?
Because at the moment I wouldn't know what to do with a RAW file in terms of lights and colors.

Theres a wealth of information on the subject; simply put, Raw will let you adjust the white balance, highlights, tone curve, and shadows to a much greater degree than JPGs will. you should also look at software like Topaz Denoise which will let you reduce noise.
