It varies. I have never shot the juniors, but on the adult ladies, I would follow the action and get 3 to 4 during each lap.

so maybe 10 for each jam and a few in between jams of player interaction, Zebra's, NSO's and the crowd.

Rarely use High FPS. I do on occasion use low continuous.  I usually get photos edited and off to the after party to get the pats on the back.

Too  many shots and I miss out on the after. . Also I get my best clients while striking when the iron is hot.

I have mentioned this before, I believe.  Others shooting the 300-1000 shots do well, but never make it to the party and even though I might have missed shots from not shooting at 10 FPS, the players like what I have and order at the party. Works for me. A photo in the hand is worth five still in the PC or camera.
