The Z 24-200 is even sharper than the Z 70-200/2.8:

I'm afraid that just does not match reality, fine all-round lens though the Z 24-200mm is.

I own both lenses, and when shooting them on the same camera and in the same conditions, the Z 70-200mm S is clearly ahead in terms of centre and corner resolution - at any focal length and aperture.

I think that post was sarcasm? Hopefully.

I'm no expert but expect the Z70-200 to be sharper than the Z24-200 and was puzzled that the ephotozine review showed the opposite... I know for sure that the Z-70-200 is stellar and other rewiews are out there to support this claim, I was just trying to figure out how ephotozine came up with such results

The 24-200 was tested on the Z7 II. The 70-200 was tested on the Z5. Go figure.

Yes, I noticed some while ago that they use a variety of cameras for their tests. Makes no sense. Greatly diminishes the value of their data.
