Studio product photography with a macro zoom lens or a prime macro lens?

Hello. i am training in a product photography with some strobes etc.Currently i am using the m43 camera with the 12-40 F2.8 lens. Close focus is a respectable 8” (0.2m), and the lens can produce a 1:3.3 magnification ratio at 40mm, I have also the older sigma 50mm F2.8ex macro lens (the max. magnification of 1:1 at a min. focus distance of 0.189m) for nikon than i can use this with my olympus with adapter. My question is do i will get any benefit using longer focal length like the artisans 60mm F2.8?(1:1 Magnification, 26cm Min. Focus) there is aso an extension tube that you can get 2:1 or 3:1 magnification.) and also how this tube is important taking in mind that the improved newer artisans 60mm f2.8 dont include this extension tube)

So my questions,

`1 i will get any benefit using a prime macro lens vs zoom macro lens? not only for very close macro work but generally for not macro photos too.

2 using the 12-40 most of the time at 40mm (80eq) vs 60mm in the prime lens willl gain any benefit that stepping further?

3 comparing the  minimun focus distance of 50mm sigma vs 60mm artisans what the benefits?

4. how important is this extension tube in the first version of artisans taking in mind that the second version has improved optics and focus mechanism but no extension tube.
