If I'm honest, I think the f1.2 aperture is hurting the photo a bit. There is no blur or DOF transition here. It almost looks like it was done with software since it is just an abrupt cutoff into perfect Gaussian blur. May have actually been better at f2 or f2.8

Yeah the 1.2 is quite difficult to take close ups with, have someones head titled a tiny bit and the eye is completely out of focus lol. I actually use the 28-70 alot for portraits instead. Ignore the exif on this photo, it was taken with the 28-70 f2.
