Sharpness incosistency

I realized, that shooting 5 identical pictures in a row with sony 20 2.8 gives different pictures, in terms of sharpness. All seem to be fine fullscreen, but zoomed in, some of them are noticably sharper, keeps more detail, then others.

30 1.8 and 18-105 4 seems more consistent.

is it normal, due to the older focusing motor?

I am considering buying 16-55 2.8.

Is true, that it has more accurate and reliable (not just faster) focusing, it achives higher hit ratio of optimal performance?

20 2.8 is sometimes good at 5.6-8 aperture, but I feel more safe, if I shoot multiple shots of everything, in case of not grabing focus…

Can I trust 16-55 in this regard?

One more question:

Is 16-55 at least not inferior, or superior to 35 1.8 and 50 1.8 and 20 2.8, even at 5.6-8?
Not just wide open, where my primes perfome weaker?

Center sharpnes is at least as good as well, not just corner/ extreme?

I understand, that better focusing may be a big pro - is it?

No need to change lenses would be obviously a big pro for me.

Quality wouldn’t suffer, it could even improve?

I read lot of reviews, wached videos, still, I am not sure, thank you for your time responding me!
