A supposition that might be valid in some cases. But I plead not, in the case of most front-line auto reviews. I really do sweat blood on them, because I respect my rivals and colleagues, and they'd immediately know if I were being lazy. That would mortify me.

(I write a lot of the reviews for TopGear magazine and website in the UK, but I also write for global sites. From 2004 I spent a decade as Motor Trend's main reviewer in Europe.)
