Canon lens chromatic aberration
1

Hello,

I've got a JVC GY-HM710 with a Canon KT14x4.4KRSJ lens. I don't have a lot of experience with video so I don't know if the level I'm seeing with edge chromatic aberration is normal or not. The attached image is a 300% view in Resolve 17, and not enlarged once the screen shot was made. I made sure I focused on the edge of the monitor seen in the photo and then I swung the camera to bring it to the edge of the frame.

So does this lens need to go in for adjustment? It wouldn't be a back focus issue, would it? It seems to be awfully extreme, visible even at less than 100% views. It doesn't seem like this would be a problem with the sensor, right? There are no prisms in the lens that I can see - no prism housing at the back of the lens.

Thanks for any answers!

Dave
