I have both, 56mm and 90mm

I used both on stabilized (X-H1) and unstabilized (X-T1 + T3) bodies, for dimly lit concerts, musicals and such.

90mm is indeed not easy, you need at least 1/90s, if the person moves, better 1/125 which, at f2 will push your ISO up quickly. But it is what it is: once you nail focus and can hold the camera still, you're rewarded with great and very sharp photos with beautiful bokeh. Inside you need the space if you want more than a head shot of course...

The 56mm/1,2 has less contrast and sharpenss (wide open at least) but also can deliver nice portraits.

I don't intend to sell any of these, but if I had to, it would be the 56mm...
