Re: Does anyone still use Panasonic 20mm f/1.7?

I tried one on my G6 back in the day and decided there and then that it didn't focus quickly enough. I decided to buy the Sigma 19mm f2.8 instead. In many ways the Sigma is inferior. It's bigger and heavier and the aperture steps rather noisily, making it a very poor video lens unless shooting in manual. However as a stills lens that focuses reasonably quickly but not blistering fast, and reliably with all bodies [for the last week it has been on an Olympus E-M1 Mk2] and is sharp as a razor, I'm happy with the sigma and feel I made the correct decision overall. Sometimes wish the Sigma was smaller and lighter but seldom miss the fact that its an f2.8.

If I was in the market again, which I'm not currently, then I would certainly go for a smaller and brighter, quiet lens of about 12mm that was weatherproof.
