Putting both the 15 and the 20mm in the category of exotic ones  shows your ignorance of lens history .the 30mm is indeed a odd focal length but this not TRUE at all for the 40mm

back in the film days , the 40mm FOV was a very common and popular normal focal length  along with the 35mm and 50mm . Minolta had a M lens 40mm , the Rollei 35 most common focal length was 40mm.. also the canonet

Even todays most companies have a 40mm fov like fuji for both aps and medium format GFX. Sony just added a 40mm single focal length

and this is just for a start
