Maybe but for inside - the 70 on the low end is a little long and the 70-300 is a slow variable aperture lens. I would take the 50-140 over it any day.

I agree .. and, I do have the 50-140 for inside events as well as a couple of fast primes.  My point was that for outside the 70-300 is excellent.
