If you are forced to buy a new wide lens, I can highly recommend the PL 8-18. It replaced my Oly 9-18 three years ago. The Loawa 7.5 is an excellent lens if you are okay with a prime. Personally, I love the flexibility of quality zooms

I looked back and found that I had it repaired 7 years ago (I couldn't believe that it had been near that long). Given that it has been that lenght of time if I get it repaired I'll eat the cost.
