Are you brand loyal or a potential switcher?

My first dSLR was a Nikon D300. Sold that gear a couple years after getting into MFT, no regrets. I take photos for fun, not for money, so MFT suits my needs and I've got the gear I want. So at this point I'm definitely fixed on the MFT system, but I wouldn't say "loyal."

As for MFT brands, I have mostly Panasonic lenses but a few Olys. I've always been open to Olympus gear. I have never bought an Oly body, partly due to form factor (I do like RF-style bodies with an EVF), timing of releases by both companies, and higher Oly prices (e.g., the first E-M1 struck me as pricey due to PDAF for older 4/3s lenses, of which I had none, and the Pen F also seemed pricey).

As I grow older, I also wonder about my adaptability to an Oly body and menu system.

Still, if I won the lottery I'd probably go buy an E-M1 III, the Oly 8mm fisheye, and the 300mm. My 12-100 would likely only be better with that body, which would also bring out the best of the 8mm and 300mm.

So I don't consider myself a Panasonic fan-boy at all. I have a lot of respect for Oly's MFT offerings, even though my purchases have slanted strongly towards Panasonic
