I am not a pro, just an average amateur shooter. I am not brand loyal. I am lazy.

I tend to choose the most adequate tool for the task, my needs and my skill, be it generators or tractors or chainsaws.

So I ended up with MFT when the GH1 appeared on the scene, the first camera that did both stills and video, which is what I really wanted to be able to do. I would have gotten some other brand if it had had those features. My GH1 had to endure all sorts of adapted old lenses -- that was so much fun. Besides, there weren't that many native lenses around yet.

I got used to the way the GH1 worked and, above all, the menu. And because I am lazy, I stayed with Panasonic (menus) when I got a small fixed lens camera (LX3). A couple of years ago, when I was looking at a better camera, my laziness / familiarity / skill level led me to choose a Panasonic again, the G9. I am very pleased with that decision. Still extremely pleased with that camera.

No, I am not brand loyal. I am perhaps system loyal, given the lenses that have accumulated over the years. Too lazy to sell them, I'll rather use them.
