I received the RF100 today but I can't get the MF override to work. I have Electronic full-time MF set to on and it works with my RF100-500 so I assume I'm being stupid, but can't work out how. Any ideas?
Edit: It looks like it doesn't work the same way as the 100-500 as Servo AF isn't supported, which is a pain.
Correct, it works differently compared to the 100-500 (no full-time MF when AI Servo is actively engaged). I barely notice though as I always let go of the focus button, rotate the focus ring as needed, then press the focus button again. I find that there's very little difference in the amount of time it takes to re-acquire focus either way.
Thanks for the reply. I have always used AI Servo as I find I wobble about too much for one shot and 99% of my macro shots are handheld. Hopefully they'll add it in firmware although I'm not hopeful.
