This time around I got intrigued by the trio of sigma lenses for the M mount. How good is the AF on the Sigma 56mm 1.4 on a M50?
Is excellent in the M6II - Fast, sharp, accurate and IMHO less of the purple fringing vs the full frame 85 1.8 combo wide open (albeit it's about a 90mm f/2.2 equiv.
I would mainly be using it for a wider field of view lens to photograph wildlife to accompany my 400mm prime full frame setup. Think photographing Moose, foxes, big horn etc in environmental wildlife portraits.
Have used it in hides when wildlife comes very close.
Nice! I see from you're equipment that you have a 5D4 with some 'big whites' as well. Are you using your M+56mm 1.4 as your secondary wider FOV set up along with the full frame like I'm planning to?
Also do you have a website or instagram where I could see how the 56 1.4 looks for some of your shots from hides?
I’m basically looking to swap my 6D+85mm 1.8 for a much lighter setup.
Good move
