R5 - Which telephoto are you using for BIF/Wildlife

Having just aquired the R5 a few days ago, I have hired a Canon 100-400 for testing.

I would like some user advise on which is the best telephoto in terms of AF tracking and IQ.

I cant affort the 100-500 so thats out at the moment so my options are:

1.       Canon 100 - 400 MKII and 1x4 teleconverter.

2.       Tamron 150-600 G2

3.        Sigma 100-400 Contemperory

Some question for users of the above...............

a)  Do you find the 100-400 has the 1x4 attached to it most of the time, what are the limitations if any?

b)  Does the Tamron still provide 20fps and how sharp is it at 400mm and 600mm

c)  Can the Contemporary compete with the 100-400 in IQ and AF performance?

I tend to take about 70% BIF medium/Large size and 20% small static birds.

Here are a few that I would typically take.

Thanks in advance

Canon EOS R5 Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2
