I paid $600 for a used GX8 2 years ago, in truly like new condition. For me a tilting LCD screen would have been better, but in use is the articulating screen is no a problem as I use the truly excellent EVF 99 percent of the time.
The only time I use mechanical shutter is for flash , so have never seen shutter shock problems. Like the size and feel of the camera, but that a very subjective matter. The IBIS is not as good as on my Olympus EM1, but seems quite satisfactory. I’m not in the habit of using very slow shutter speeds hand held.
AA or no AA filter? I have no idea how much difference it makes. Technical reviews and pixel peepers say the difference is noticeable, for my eyes I don’t see any problem . But those eyes are 70 years old.

I’ve seen used GX8’s recently for around $400. At that price you might consider trying it. If you find it doesn’t work for you , then sell it. The camera still has a cult following so don’t think you would lose much.
