That makes sense.

A hood on the LCD screen does sound like a good idea for better eyes.

A few days ago I thought, "Hey, the screen is really bright on this camera (an A7sii). I'm only using the screen hood out of habit. Looks like I don't need it now. I'll take it off".

One minute with sunshine falling on the screen was enough to convince me that I really did need it.
