Is it worth waiting for an MFT Macro 50 or 60mm f2.8 successor?
1

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm 1:2.8 Macro came on the market in 2012 and still is famous for its performance. Since then the Laowa 50mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro MFT came out in april 2021 which seems to be a good lens also in the reviews.

The Laowa has EXIF information due to its electrical contacts (Microchip camera communication) and 2x magnification but has no autofocus compared to the Olympus which has 1x magnification.

I was wondering could that mean there will be un updatet version or successor for the Oly lens in the future to wait for? Or could there be an updatet version for the Laowa with autofocus? Or is it just the choice between autofocus or not I have to take. Some information on comparance out there? Any opinion?
