I had read a number of the various reviews and they were sort of "average" but after buying this lens and using it a bit, I have been impressed. I have not done any sports/action with it yet but landscapes and still life/flowers have been good, IMO.

So the Tammy 70-200 f/2.8 G2 and the 70-300mkII will stay at home most of the time?

Well, it makes it a more difficult choice! The Tamron is a bit of a different niche with the f2.8, it is still going to be the go to for indoor sports and such or for the ability to blow out the background a bit more easily. The 70-300 II is a bit tougher question. It is a nice size and weight, so may just keep it as the lightweight zoom for the two crop bodies that I still own. I need to do a side by side comparison as far as IQ between it and the 24-240.  The 70-300 II can give some really nice images and the R6 only makes it better, IMO.
