Your comparison is apples to oranges to pears...you're comparing a 450mm effective focal length a distance X with a 750mm effective focal length at distance Y with a 2000mm effective focal length at distance Z.  The relative size of the hummingbird as a percentage of frame size is very obviously lowest in the shot with the 200mm-500mm and highest with the P950, so I'm not at all surprised by what you're seeing.

To do a reasonable comparison, you really need to fill the frame/sensor to an equivalent subject percentage of the frame.  In this case, you're putting a lot more pixels on the hummingbird with the P950, even though the sensor is lower MP overall.
