Post-processing is what?
3

So this very long thread ended with a number of erroneous claims about what was meant by "post-processing" of an image.

It is simple.  Post-processing is processing that is done after the image has been captured.  It is not something that occurs "after processing".  It is processing that occurs after the image has been taken.  It is the editing of the image to produce the final product (digital image or print).

On the other hand, "post-production" of a movie is the processing that is done after filming or recording of movie scenes is done.  Once again, it is the editing of the recorded scenes to produce the final product (a movie).  But in this case, it really is "after production", in the sense that "production" is all the work that goes into getting film or video of scenes produced.
