You're making the same mistake many others have made - thinking there's some fundamental difference.

* One image is a focus stack.

* The other image is... a focus stack under a different name.

The only difference is when and how the stack is created.

If you're referring to the fact that it was handheld well, almost every focus stack I've ever done was shot handheld. I've got focus stacks handheld of wildlife.

Is it a nice feature to have? Sure. No question.

Is it the feature that decides a camera purchase or a straight-up brand switch?

Pffft. No.
