The P50 series has reverted to RGGB...

I just watched the P50 series announcement event (live broadcast). Obviously they have returned to RGGB (mentioning "original-color image sensors" and no more "RYYB"). A 40MP monochrome sensor is added to enhance night vision instead.

But the P50 Pro now uses a 64MP 3.5x optical zoom (90mm) lens instead of the Mate 40 Pro+'s 8MP 10x optical zoom (240mm) lens for long-zoom photography, and Huawei says they use innovative computational photography dubbed "XD Optics" to make this 3.5x zoom lens "on par with a true 10x optical zoom lens". I'll wait for real-world comparisons online or test it myself at a Huawei store.

p.s. The announcement event didn't even mention a P50 Pro+ or a 5G version. Both the P50 and P50 Pro they announced are 4G phones.
