I "accidentally" realized the importance of dynamic-blur to illustrate movement when I was 12 and shot a photo of a helicopter @ 1/1000s.

The blades were frozen and the photo looked like a "model" hanging from my ceiling, (and I did have helicopter-models hanging from my ceiling at the time).
