I did some research but could not find anything conclusive. I currently have a 6300 but I was wondering if I'd gain any PQ by moving to an a6400, or is this is isn't worth the extra investment ?

Thanks!

The a6400 is much , much better! Much!. Mainly, because I just ordered one Kidding aside, the colors are better but the main advantage is the AF.

P.S.: I really ordered one yesterday at a fair price.

Michael,

Are you still keeping your A6500? How’s the handling of the A6400 vs A6500?

José

Yes, cause it has IBIS and more controls. The a6400 is for events with people where fast and accurate AF is importnat.

You got me thinking. The A6400 has the eye-AF that I want. Also it shoots 11 fps too and can take my A6500 batteries (I have six). And yes the A6500 is a keeper. But I can trade it for the A6600 and don’t bother with the A6400 but I have to get different batteries.

a6600: No flash - no go. Using it all the time.

No flash isn’t a deal breaker for me. But I like the idea of using two cameras in the field, eliminating the need to change lenses.

I might go for it if Sigma announces a new 135/1.8 or 70-200/2.8 ART FE lens. With the A6400 that would be a potent combo
