Also, you compare cameras for sale today, not what was available for release the day the Z7II was announced. If you have to compare your flagship to a discontinued model to win on one criteria you're pretty desperate...kind of like Nikon right now.

As a Sony fan / user I sometimes agree, and sometimes don't. There's only a few things I don't like about A7Riii, and overall pleased though mine broken within first 2 months. I'd personally take the Z7ii over A7Riv. However, I think both cameras are fantastic.

I'm not disparaging the Z7II, which is an excellent camera.  Just noting that it's silly to demand that reviewers compare cameras at a point in time in the past instead of today, or to use the MSRP when one camera is discounted more time than not.
