Is there a hard reason you have to observe your 1250 mm field of view from only 300 mm away. That does force you into using multiple cameras. If you can be farther away you can do this with a single camera.

Anytime I give multiple camera images to my data analysis team they always sarcastically say “Gee, thanks for all the data." I will jump through all kinds of optical engineering hoops to get down to a single camera, Particularly since if a project shows early success it tends to grow and architectural weaknesses built in from the start become real burdens later.
