Obviously I don't know if there's enough demand to make a small but high end m43 camera viable.

Actually, considering new volumes of sales for the last two years , I am quite convinced there would be

The problem is that most of us who would like such a model could not agree on what is small versus too small

AND equally is what main features would make this smaller model high end

FOR INSTANCE

Lots of people shooting mft are now used to very effective stabilisation . On a small body , how would they react to average IBIS or no ibis at all

how about how to compose the image ? first you have to make a decision between those who think that a FAS is a must and those who would only consider a camera with a tilted screen ? and what about the EVF ? How good is good enough ?

for me I have never considered the Gm5 a serious camera because its EVF is so mediocre it is basically useless

I think that looking at current technology it would be very difficult , if not impossible , to design this end M43 camera IF it is not , at least , the size of a G100 , or GX80 or EP5 something like that

But I am sure many people claiming they want a small high end m43 would find this waaayyy too big

and let s not get started on the price people would be willing to pay

Sorry but this seems an impossible task for either Olympus or Panasonic

The ep7 features 5 axis ibis.

sure but what about the rest . because of its reduce size , it has very few controls and dials which requires a minimum size

this is an entry level camera

Body is pretty small. Yes no evf, but maybe the could add a small evf (remove the flash). People would complain that the evf is too small though.

An em5 mkiv (or an em10 mkiv) or g100 (or gx10) built the same as an em1 or g9 (material wise) might satisfy the high end small body itch.

yes but you would not be able to have the same features or video specs . Personally I think such an high end m43 camera should be photo centric and abandon any fancy video specs but of course some people would disagree with that
