LR - Blurb book compilation problem
1

I am compiling a large Blurb photobook using LR 6.14. Although I have done this successfully in the past I am having quite a struggle this time.

The book is ‘saved’ and appears in the Collections panel. However, if I mess it up I may not be able to recover it because shutting down saves what the latest version happens to be. Obviously I can recover lost images easily but could lose lots of text and its positioning. So I wish to go through a series of saves of different versions as they are developed

My LR guidebook by Martin Evening says this is a common problem but a new version can be produced by ‘Alt-dragging a Book collection to create a duplicate which you can then edit’.

Does anyone know in detail how this Alt-drag procedure is carried out?

  • What exactly do I click on to do the dragging?
  • Where do I drag it to achieve a new saved version?
  • That place is presumably the Collection panel, but it will doubtless require renaming somehow.

Thanks.
