Is the M that much better even with the kit 15-45? I've an RX100m1 and it struggles indoors at night. I want something better but my budget won't stretch to extra lenses at the moment. (Sorry for butting in)

Maybe marginally better, but not much, in terms of image quality. The 15-45 isn't a very good indoor/low-light lens. Autofocus would be better though, and you'd have the opportunity to upgrade to a prime lens in the future when the budget allows for better low light performance.
