More seriously, best to open a photography book and enjoy the art rather than the charts. Just my 2 cents of course.

Great photographs have been made with imprecise tools and seat-of-the-pants decision making. For many years, we didn't have exposure meters and photographers sensed how bright the light was and adjusted exposures accordingly. Early on, there were no shutters in the lenses or the cameras, and photographers uncovered the lens, waited until what felt like enough time had passed, and covered the lens again. Film development was similarly imprecise until Hurter and Driffield came along, and for some, after that.
