Well I had some fun out in the garden last weekend with the Laowa and the M6ii. Had a couple of helpful visitors too.
These were shot at 1:2 (.5x), and then cropped some. F/11 @1/200 second, ISO 200 generally. The Nissin i40 provided some nicely diffused flash. I’m really loving this lens!

Well done, R2!!! Amazing and Impressive Photos!!!
I observed that those pictures taken with Laowa 65mm were around 1500 x 1080 pixels. The maxiumum resolution of EOS-M6 II is 6960 x 4640 pixels. I then compared with similar photos that I had taken with EOS-M50 / EF 100mm f/2.8 macro IS. All of my photos were above 2000 x 1400. The maximum resolution of EOS-M50 is 6000 x 4000 pixel. So when using Laowa 65mm, due to angle of view limitation, you need to crop more, aren't you?
When I compare the mating photos, I also observe that for the same frame, using f/8 with EF 100mm got more DOF than using f/11 with Laowa 65mm. (check the wings)
EF 100mm f/2.8 macro IS supports the built in focus bracketing / stacking function in EOS-M6 II, so I think it is more suitable to use the 100mm macros lens. I thinks I would be OK to use the focus bracketing function in EOS-M6 II to get an uncropped photo with enough DOF.
1. uncropped photo (6000 x 4000), f/8
insufficent DOF (to crop to the same frame as #2, the size is 4893 x 3262 pixels). The butterflies are around 2 feet above my eye level, I had to hold up my hands and used the vari-angle LCD. It was very difficult to see the bufferflies clear, so I didn't do manual handheld focus bracketing/stacking.

2. Cropped photo (3516 x 2344). To increase DOP, I need to use f/11. As I didn't want to use higher ISO, I decided to move back and take the picture again with f/8. I got enough DOP this time.

3. some bee and fly photos taken with EOS-M50 / EF 100mm f/2.8 macro IS
a. 2105 x 1403 pixels, f/8

b. 3787 x 2840 pixels, f/10

c. 2089 x 1389 pixels, f/6.3

d. 3145 x 2097 pixels, f/5.6
