Re: In Search of filter system: Kase, Nisi, Breakthrough Photography or PolarPro

I have the PolarPro Summit system. I like it because the design allows you to handle the filters without getting fingerprints on them and does a good job blocking light leak. The Wine Country system also seems to have a similar design, but most systems do not. Unfortunately, the Summit system only has two slots, which can be a bummer if you want to use a GND and two NDs. Also, several of my brand new PolarPro filters came with scratches and/or smudges, though this has been more of an issue with their round filters.

With all of that said, I just ordered the Freewell Magnetic ND Filter System because it will greatly reduce the space my ND filters take up and the time it takes me to set my filters up in the field. I have not used them yet, but I wish I bought them instead of the PolarPro Summit system, which is great, but bulky like any square filter system is. If you want magnetic filters, the Freewell system may be worth a try.
