Yes, it has become quite a parody with Sony saying in interviews that they listen and no show of such a, for years, requested function.

Back in 2015 Olympus shipped that function out to almost all their at the time current bodys as a firmware update.

During the whole Corona epidemic people have been sitting at home and trying to find ways to shot in their near surroundings which is why macro lens sales have gone up. To not follow that trend up with focus bracketing and some appropriate articles in their Alpha Universe Academy is so tone deaf it just can be.
