If they can't get their act together and get bomb proof Autofocus - they are wasting their energy. Sub standard Autofocus is a good reason to buy into another system.

Good point. This is, once again (or perhaps still, but at a higher level than before) Fuji's biggest weakness.

You guys are obviously talking about AF-C, and yes although Fuji is not the leader nor matches the competition at this point in AF-C, man you guys make it sound like AF is not good. Go try the Pentax then you’ll appreciate Fuji’s AF a lot more.

In such a short amount of time Fuji has improved AF in a pretty amazing way and I’m sure the next generation bodies will perform even better. And you better believe if they are going to keep charging close to or more than $2K then yes it better have darn good AF-C. What need to disappear once and for all is freezing issues.

I think people are talking about things like object tracking within the frame, eye detect, animal eye af, seem less transition from eye to object when a person turns, etc.

Heck Fuji still picks up faces when there isn’t anything resembling one within the frame. And often focuses on nose tips or glasses rather than eye’s. Fuji has a long way to go to catch up to the big three.
