Here is what I have been using on the RF-800 F-11 and 600 F-11 for tubes.

That's what I used until I got my RF 1.4X. Now that literally lives on the end of my RF800. It's amazing how easy the 1,120mm is to use and how beautiful the images are. I loved my 800, but I love my 1,120 even better. If you know how to use the 800, the extender doesn't really present any issues at all especially if you're using DXO deep Prime.

I have exactly the same experience. It is amazing how well the 800mm plus 1.4X extender is stabilized so that handholding is very feasible. On top of that I did some sharpness tests with and without extender and I could not find any IQ degradation with the extender even pixel peeping at 200%. The extender is a brilliant piece of optics.
