Re: Fuji's TCL-X100 teleconverter on DP Merrill cameras?

I received the wrong reverse step ring, but that means I could mount the TCL-X100 directly on the dp2 Quattro, which as we know uses the same lens as the DP2 Merrill, so better suited for this thread anyway

A very informal test shot of a building across the street, first without TCL-X100, then with TCL-X100 at f/2.8, then at f/5.6.

dp2 Quattro without TCL-X100 at f/2.8

dp2 Quattro with TCL-X100 at f/2.8

dp2 Quattro with TCL-X100 at f/5.6

At f/2.8 the result is slightly soft with the TC, but the vignetting is also nicely soft. As you stop down the lens, both the image and the vignetting sharpens and I wouldn't go much beyond f/5.6 because the vignetting becomes more and more apparent.

At f/4-f/5.6 the results are quite nice if you shoot in 4:3 aspect ratio, so I'd say this teleconverter is a useful addition to a dp2 Quattro.

I expect results with the fp and 45mm f/2.8 to be quite similar, but softer wide open.
