Why No Pop-Up Flash in FF DSLRS?

I'm trawling for a cheap 5D or 6D and I note in reading their specs that they have no built-in flash. I've grown very fond of the one in my T7 as an adjustable outdoor fill flash.

Is this because the scaled-up size of an FF pentaprism versus an APS-C pentamirror leaves no room for a flash?
