Serious question here… I Just got back from Europe last night. Multiple days of large crowds, 10k-15k steps each day, and tons of photos taken. numerous hikes, and days of keeping up with a camera for hours on end. My question is why do people even bother taking full-frame on trips like this, or worse yet DSLR’s, when small compact mirrorless cameras such as the XE4 or XT30 have all the image quality needed in my admittedly subjective opinion?

1) for equivalent performance the lenses (and now thanks to mirror less) the cameras are nearly identically sized.

2) for me the big thing is size not weight. I want a compact setup but weight doesn’t matter within reason.
