How to have my photography appreciated, or mean something?

Two Thoughts

First, if you personally appreciate an image you have made and it continues to mean something to you even after stored on a drive, that is a real value. Second, if you reach out within a community that already shares images in some way, you will most likely receive affirmation and personal rewards there. I'm an introvert, as I would guess from your post you also are. I took the risk of participating in photo-based communities. They have become friends, enjoy my images and encourage me.
