A good challenge. I'm going to say Mallard duck (male) - because first its the most common duck in the U.S., its also a dabbler - this one is doing the typical,  tip up, the duck's bottom out of the water and pointing its tailfeathers straight up as the head and neck are below the water to nibble through mud, algae, and submerged plants. A Mallard has orange legs and feet.  The part we see is white - so is the Mallard.

Just a somewhat educated guess by narrowing down, I don't really recognize that "moon."
