My take is to add in using some acid free tissue paper and wrap the print in that do that the printed surface is protected.

I use an archival print sleeve made of plastic to protect the print but acid free tissue paper would also work. The key is to tape the protected print to the middle of cardboard so it doesn't move around.

That, and having the two pieces of cardboard with the corrugations at ninety degrees apart, so that the package can't be bent in either direction.
