  1. The M6 II does 14 FPS or 30 FPS in Raw Crop mode, the RP does 5.

and whats the FPS of a 5Dmk3?

  1. RP is 26MP, the M6 ii is 33MP

but the RP IQ will be better when it has not got a SB on it

  1. Battery life better on M6 ii
  2. M6 smaller and lighter

not when it has a SB on it

  1. RP needs an adapter for EF lenses else native lenses are much more expensive

my 3ed party adaptor for my R6 was £45 GBP

  1. Tilting screen is quicker to use than articulated

no its not if you have the screen closed facing the body  it much faster to open and twist to the angel you want and works in portrait made as well

  1. M6 has built in flash which is useful
  2. Full 4k on the M^, the RP is cropped

whats the 5Dmkiii 4K like

  1. RP more expensive.

not when you dont buy a SB

With a speedbooster, the M6 is a much better camera than the RP and can use APS-C and Full Frame image both at 33MP as well as using Full Frame lenses and M lenses.

if you want to keep your current kit and have FF i would forget a SB an get a sony A7 as they are now cheaper than a SB...you budget would get you a 42mp A7r mkii...you will take an AF hit with the adaptor

There is no argument for FF vs APS-c (or m43) with shallow DOF..as it's a law of physics and a very subjective personal thing if you want to make use of the shallow DOF only FF can offer

If you wait for a camera that will  tick all your boxes ....by then you will have more boxes to tick..... so the wait continues .....David Appleton
