I found several M42-EF adapters on eBay ranging from $5 no name Chinese ones to more expensive brand name models with a flange. Note that the cheaper ones often didn't explicitly say they have the flange in the title and I had to read the listing or look at the photos.

That's good advice. However... if the OP's lenses are for Fujica rather than vanilla M42 they may have an extra tab on the rear of the aperture ring. On some Fujica ST and AZ cameras this provided full aperture metering, but today it can foul on the face of an adapter (jamming the aperture ring) and prevent the lens screwing in fully (affecting infinity focus).
